How Offset works

From booking
to arrival,
in one plan.

Add your flights and usual sleep. Offset works out when to sleep, seek light and use caffeine before you leave, in the air and after you land.

01 · Add the trip

Start with every flight there.

Add each flight and connection on the way to your destination. Departure and arrival times tell Offset when you can sleep, when you need to be awake and how local time changes. The return gets its own plan toward home.

  • Direct and multi-stop trips
  • Times shown in local time
  • Refresh the plan when flight details change

02 · Add your sleep

Tell Offset what normal looks like.

Add your usual bedtime and sleep length. Then choose whether the plan can use caffeine, optional melatonin or a few days of adjustment before departure.

  • Your usual sleep hours
  • The guidance you want to use
  • Whether to start before the trip

03 · Follow the plan

See what is due where you are.

Each step appears in local time. Manual lets you check the whole timeline in the app. At launch, Pro will also bring due steps to notifications, Live Activities, widgets and Apple Watch.

  • Sleep, light and caffeine steps
  • Home and destination time when it helps
  • The active plan available offline with Pro

If the flight gets in the way

The plan leaves room for flying.

Offset keeps the first hour after takeoff and the final hour before landing out of your sleep window. It gives sleep on a flight or at a connection less weight than sleep on the ground. Every leg stays in the same plan.

It still cannot make you sleep. If the cabin does not give you enough rest, the planner can put more sleep after the flight instead of acting as though everything went to plan.
